The Knitted Together program is simple. For every item you purchase from Homemade Homebody, I will donate an item to a charitable organization.
The Red Scarf Project
For every scarf purchased from me, I will knit and donate a scarf to the Red Scarf Project by Foster Care to Success. I chose this program because I believe in education and admire that they are helping foster youth pursue higher education.
Knit for Kids
For every hat purchased from me, I will knit and donate an infant cap to Knit for Kids by World Vision. I chose this program because I believe in the work of World Vision. I have sponsored children through them and love how timely they respond to disasters around the world.
I will send the knitted donations for the Red Scarf Project and Knit for Kids to the respective organizations in November every year. While Knit for Kids accepts donations year-round, Foster Care to Success only accepts scarves between September 1 and December 15 annually. To abide by the dates and help with shipping costs, I will consolidate the donations into one shipment for each organization.
